"A message to dancers-
Dance class is a place to learn a style that you don’t already know, a place to learn more technique, to improve your musicality, to practice your emotional connection and expression to movement, to be inspired to take risks, and to challenge your mind and your body by dancing to the fullest….
Dance class is not for people to come in and act like they know more than the teacher, to be insecure ego maniacs, face makers or to suck the passion and energy out of the room that the teacher has worked so hard to create. If you walk into a class trying to “kill the choreography” or to “get the teacher to notice me” then you need to know that you are one of the problems the dance world…
Class is to learn- not to show off!!!!!!!
The time to show off is at an audition folks!!!!!
Dance is to express….not to impress…
please let’s remember why we all do what we do…."
